Museum

Art is even more beautiful than reality, which fades over time.

The Leonardo da Vinci Museum is in Venice, at the Scoletta di San Rocco, in front of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco.

Don’t miss the chance to discover the great master’s world - his life, works and not-yet-fully revealed secrets.

The Exhibition

The man who was a scientist before there was science, whose ideas overtook the knowledge of his times.

In the exhibition rooms, in more than 500 square metres, you will be able to discover Leonardo da Vinci’s world, his life and his magnificent works.

You will see the workings of his most important engineering projects, with more than 60 perfectly functioning machines, realised by following his plans faithfully, such as the “War Machines”, the “Civil Engineering Machines”, the “Flying Machines”, the “Ideal City” and the “Principles of Physics”. You will be able to follow his ambitious life-long dream to fly.

For each Machine there are explanatory notes on the principles applied, translated into 6 languages.

The rooms are equipped with multimedia displays that will help you understand and make your visit more interesting.
You will be able to examine his anatomical studies, as well as his main works of art, through the use of very high-resolution, back-lit installations.

Bookshop

The artist who produced the most precious and appreciated paintings in the world.

The Leonardo da Vinci Museum shop stocks a wide selection of gifts such as books on the renaissance genius and reproductions of his projects.
Why not buy an exclusive souvenir that cannot be found anywhere else in the world?
Whether you’re an expert or a new Leonardo fan, you will definitely find a gift that pays homage to his scientific and artistic investigations.
